Not one, not two, but three offers!!!

Posted by Picasa

We received three offers on our home after being on the market for less than three weeks. We are thrilled and actually sort of shell shocked. .A tentative closing date has been scheduled.  The buyer will now schedule an inspection, appraisal, and obtain a mortgage.  In the meantime, John and I will need to find a temporary home until we find the perfect motorhome.

We are so excited and grateful that all our planning and hard work has paid off.  We followed our realators and decorators advice.  The activity and feedback from the showings was very positive.  The other two offers were also very good.

Later in the week this magical snow storm came through our area.  We woke up to a fairy land outside.  This may be our last winter for awhile and so I decided to go out and just capture a few photographs.

Jen called a few days after the offer was accepted on the home.  She said that she was sad that the house might be sold soon.  We told her we really understood how she was feeling.  We were excited and sad all at the same time.  As much as we have looked forward to this day and our new future there are still losses. It's part of the journey.

Martha and Ben's Visit

Martha and Ben (John's sister and nephew) came for a "Christmas" visit.  They live in Sao Paulo Brazil and traveled here to visit us the holidays.  They went to Seattle prior to our visit Dan (Martha's son).  We had a great visit.  Jen was able to get a few days off and flew in for the weekend.  My brother's family came down and we celebrated Christmas with lots of presents and a great meal afterwords.

Jackie, Alison, Jen, and Ben checking out all their presents.
Ben was really surprised with his present from Jen.  It was a marsh-mellow gun.  They had a lot of fun with it.

Martha brought flip-flops for all the girls. We love them!

Group Shot of the Webb Family.  This was actually taken Christmas Eve at their home.  We forgot to get a group picture of everyone.

We had such a great visit.  It is always sad when everyone leaves.  Martha is hoping to return this fall.  She is negotiating with several colleges to hopefully come back and teach.  And. of coarse visit her favorite sister in law!
