Free At Last - Living Our Dream

NEWS FLASH!  John officially retired from the Post Office on Friday!  It  was a very exciting and much anticipated day.  He surprised all the letter carriers by coming into work in a tropical shirt and carrying a margarita glass.  Don't get too excited, it only had Hawaiian Punch in it.  He received lots of good wishes.  I'll write more of the details for this week soon.

John's last day at the Post Office
We are leaving for Sioux Fall South Dakota to establish our residency.  We plan on obtaining our drivers license and voters registration.  More details to follow.

  3. Congratulations!!!! Watch the weather - big storm moving that direction today. We live about 150 miles NE of there.
A year from now we will be retiring but are fortunate to work on the road so will be heading back to TX in about 5 weeks.

    Have fun drive safely.

  5. Congrats, congrats, congrats. . .seeing John's mail "case" brought back memories, or was it "nightmares". . .of course I recognize the "hold" buckets underneath. It's definitely that time of year. . .I know you guys will be happy to escape! Enjoy every minute. . .take your time. . .never get in a hurry. . .savor the process, not necessarily the destination. . .although the destinations are great too.

    Wishing you all the best,
    Janice and Dave
