| She-qua-ga Falls (Montour, NY) |
Our first busy weekend at the KOA campground went well. We had about 96 reservations and check in on Friday was very hectic. I was nervous about handling so many check ins and the time sure flew by quickly. It went much better than anticipated.
(The pictures in our blog today are of some of the waterfalls in the Montour Falls (a nearby city).)

Everyone arriving was excited and most of them were past customers. The campground had a special deal for the weekend. If you had stayed here last year the second night was free. Otherwise the second night was 50% off. With the special offer it brought in a lot of campers with plans to celebrate Mother’s Day with their family.

The campground looked very nice and we offered a breakfast on Saturday and Sunday for the campers. There was also a movie each night in the woods on a big screen and laser tag was a big hit.
I scooped a lot of ice cream and made my first pizza. The campstore was very busy on Saturday mostly with small sales of candy and worms. (yes, you read that correctly). I’m now a seller of worms. One more thing to add to the resume. The pond was a very busy place and several good size fish were caught and then released to swim again.
The weather was perfect and we had our first campfire. On Sunday we were all pretty tired…even Jimmy. There are many more busy weekends ahead. Stay tuned!
