My Favorite Coastal Trail - Gros Morne National Park Newfoundland

Woody Point, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland

There is a little village in the Gros Morne National Park called Trout Lake. We found the prettiest trail one afternoon which started at the top of 149 steps. It was lush and green with spectacular views of the bay. It was magical!

We could only stay for a little awhile but it sure would be a great place for a picnic. The sign said travel at your own risk, however, we felt it was well maintained and an  easy 1 1/2 mile trail.

Afterwards we had a nice lunch and stopped at a cute little gift shop with all kinds of handmade gifts and the perfect name - Hunky Dory. What a perfect day.

  2. I guess the price to pay for all that lovely green and beauty is being a bit chilly, even in summer. Still wearing jackets I see. After all, it IS the far north. I am enjoying your travels to an unknown place for me.
